Today was the Cork Kerry final in Mallow. The arena was in great shape and the course was good.
There was thirty in the ladies final which I was qualified for with Sadies Lady. It was today that Sadies lady jumped her last competition. She is retiring to stud!
Lets hope she can breed some new up and coming stars! She finished third in a very fast jump off in the ladies ballymaloe final! I couldn’t have asked more of her and we will miss her on the team but we all hope that she has a bright future ahead as a mom! Below is a photo of us.
As today was the last show outdoors, I’m heading on a much needed holiday to sunny Spain next week for some R and R! I look forward to coming home with batteries charged and energy to head into the winter season! I better get the clippers going!

Equilibrium Products, the company built upon a philosophy of helping you to take better care of your horses, recently ran a competition on the Eventing Ireland web site to win a Massage Pad from the Equilibrium Therapy range. The response was fantastic – it seems that lots of people are really keen to experience the benefits that Massage Therapy can bring to their horses!
And the lucky winner was Fidelma Clare from Wexford. Well done Fidelma! We hope that you, and most likely your horses, will really enjoy many therapeutic massages in the seasons to come. For more information on the Equilibrium Therapy Massage Pad, click here.

The last?two weks have been a little quieter as i have been giving my horses a breather.
Eco Friendly needed a rest because of an injury but she is now back in work and will be ready to compete in this weeks show, the Cork Kerry final.? Sadies lady is also travelling to the show. She is qualifed for the Ladies Ballymaloe final. She was also off for the last few weeks because she was off form. She was diagnosed with a tumor on her overy but luckily it ws found on time and she is fine again. The Cork Kerry show will be her final outing. She is retiring. Hopefully she will be in foal early in 2011 so we have an exciting prospect for the future.
I brought in vicky from the field today. she is an Old Vic thoroughbred that seems to have a drop. I must start handling her now to get her ready for breaking through the winter months.
